How do I book entertainment or other services through Solo Events:
If you have browsed through our artistes and entertainment and you have chosen your supplier or entertainer, then you can call Solo Events, book our services through our online forms or you can email our team at office@soloevents.biz. Our team will talk you through your event and give you a quote for your requirements. If you have any further requirements that we currently do not cater for, please address this over the phone and we will do our best to meet your needs.
What happens if the entertainment I have chosen isn't available?
If your chosen entertainment isn't available, Solo Events will check the availability of all other similar artistes for that date of your event. We will then contact you to advise you on a suitable alternative. You may wish to select a 2nd choice band before contacting us via our website.
What are your venue requirements?
Most of our entertainers can perform inside and outside as long as the venue has the facilities. A minimum space of 20 x 10 ft is essential along with access to power points for non-acoustic instruments. Most venues will have access to these and cables/extensions can be used if required. If the event is outside, the entertainer will require a covered area if the weather is poor. Our artistes will also require separate changing facilities. We will advise you of any further requirements before confirming your booking.
Do your suppliers have their own equipment?
Most of our entertainers will have their own p.a which is suitable for events with up to approx 300 guests. Many of our artistes also have their own professional sound/lighting engineer who will be happy to liaise with the venues counterpart. Some of our artistes carry their own lighting rig but we would recommend checking with us on enquiry. We can arrange p.a and lighting for larger events through our suppliers.
Are there any restrictions for the sound and lighting at my event?
Your venue will advise you on sound restrictions for your event. We also need to advise that some lighting effects may be unsuitable for epilepsy sufferers. Please make sure you advise us when booking your entertainment and we will cater for this. Some venues will also have their own smoke detectors which will restrict the use of smoke machines etc. This may restrict but not affect the quality of the performance for your event
When will my entertainment arrive?
Your chosen entertainment will arrive at the venue approx. 60 minutes before they are due to start playing. This will allow ample time for them to set up any equipment, change into costumes and to talk through any specifics with the client. If your event is large and suppliers will be used for outdoors, then they will arrive at agreed times with the venue to set up and test any lighting or equipment.
How long will the entertainment play for?
Most of our live entertainment is booked for sets lasting 45 minutes; however DJ’s and other artistes will play 2 sets aiming to provide entertainment for approx 90 minutes throughout your event.
How much will it cost me?
The fees vary according to your chosen entertainment. All of our artistes are quoted depending on your budget, venue and event. Solo Events always aim to meet your budget so please ensure that when you book your entertainment, you inform our team about your maximum budget. We will then aim to meet your needs as best we can.
All travel and overnight accommodation will be charged to the client if any of our artistes are required to travel more than 30 miles from their home address or they are required for a consecutive booking and need to stay for the booking.
What are your agency fees?
Solo Events charge a 20% agency fee for all hired services including entertainment and suppliers. The fee will be added to all initial quotes and will be stated on all invoices.
How do we pay you for your services?
All of our artistes and suppliers services will be secured for your event with a 50% deposit. Final payments will be required 25 days after the event allowing you to enjoy your event hassle free. An invoice will be sent to you clearly outlining all of Solo Events agency fees, entertainer and supplier fees and package prices. All outstanding fees can be paid either by banker’s cheque or BACS.
What if we need to cancel our booking?
In the event of having to cancel any of our services or entertainment the following charges will be incurred:
