Solo Events are proud to work with Wessex Heartbeat Charity
The charity was established in 1992 and now Wessex Heartbeat is one of the region's major charities and exists to support the work of the Wessex Cardiac Centre (WCC), one of the UK's leading heart treatment centers.
Solo Events Director Caroline Wright underwent a life saving open heart operation in March 2008. Since then she has been campaigning to raise money for a desperately needed Young Adult Congenital Hearth Ward, which is designed to allow young adults from the age of 16 – 30 to be in a relaxing and fresh environment. The ward is estimated to cost £1 million and Solo Events are planning a variety of events throughout 2009 to support the funds and help Wessex Heartbeat help young adults in the Wessex area.
In July 2008 – Solo Events were successful in putting on a charity event at The Southampton General Hospital. The money raised was awarded to Lynda Tellet and Mel Finch, who are the superb, hardworking team who are behind the new ward.
Solo Events would also like to pay tribute to Lisa, who passed away in September after a long battle with her heart. She will be missed and we will fight for the new ward in her honor.
